Today's feast of the Ascension speaks to us in many ways. One important way is through the Kontakion, at the end of the hymn we hear “I am with you and no one will be against you!” This is very important for us to hear, especially during this time of the Corona Virus Pandemic. Christ is telling us that he is with us, we hear this multiple times of the year. When we sing "God is with us!" By Christ telling us that He is with us, it is reaffirming us of His presence invisibly. Knowing that Christ our God is with us, needs to be implanted into our hearts and minds. When we are in trouble, who is with us, but we do not physically see it? God. Who is with us when we are sick, suffering, happy, sad? God. We may suffer, but we do not suffer alone. God is always with us. And we must never forget that. We are fashioned in Christ's image and we strive to be in His likeness. He is in you, you, and all of you. We must let God into our hearts first so that we may see the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.
