On this day we commemorate the Martyr Ludmilla, grandmother of St. Wenceslaus (Vyacheslav).


Ludmilla was a 10th century Bohemian princess who, along with her husband Prince Borivoy, was baptized by Saint Methodius and became the first Christian rulers of Bohemia.
